بين الاقوامي قانون مطابق ٻن رياستن وچ ۾ ٿيندڙ ڪنهن به باضابطه معاهدي لاءِ ضروري آهي ته ان جي مسودي تي لاڳاپيل رياست جي سربراهه يا مجاز عملدار طرفان صحيح ڪئي وڃي، ڇاڪاڻ ته اهڙي عمل کان پوءِ ڪابه رياست معاهدي ۾ شامل شرطن تي عمل ڪرڻ لاءِ پابند ٿي ويندي آهي، عام طور ”صحيح ڪرڻ“ واري عمل جا ٻه قسم ٿيندا آهن، (1) حتمي صحيح (Definitive Signature)، جنهن ۾ معاهدي تي دستخط وجهڻ کان پوءِ ڪنهن به ٻئي اداري کان منظوري يا توثيق جي ضرورت نه پوندي آهي. ان جا تفصيل گڏيل قومن جي ”ويانا ڪنوينشن“ (1969ع) جي شق 12 ۾ بيان ڪيل آهن، (2) ”عام رواجي صحيح“ (Simple Signature) جنهن مطابق: ڪابه رياست معاهدي ۾ شامل ٿيڻ جو اعلان ڪندي ان کي اُصولي طور دُرست سمجهندي آهي ، پر معاهدي تي عمل در آمد پنهنجي اعليٰ قانوني ساز ادارن جي منظوريءَ سان مشروط ڪري ڇڏيندي آهي
